An Invitation to Come Join Us In Gathering Israel!

(Missionary Work and Temple & Family History Plan)

President Russell M. Nelson has frequently declared that the gathering of Israel is “the most important thing taking place on earth today,” calling it the greatest cause and work. He emphasizes that this effort, involving both sides of the veil, is hastened by the Lord to prepare for the Second Coming by inviting all into a covenant relationship with Jesus Christ.  Key quotes and teachings from President Nelson regarding the gathering of Israel include:

  • Purpose: The gathering is designed to prepare a people who are “able, ready, and worthy to receive the Lord when He comes again”.
  • Definition: “Anytime you do anything that helps anyone—on either side of the veil—take a step toward making covenants with God and receiving their essential baptismal and temple ordinances, you are helping to gather Israel”.
  • Magnitude of the Work: “Nothing else compares in magnitude, nothing else compares in importance, nothing else compares in majesty”.
  • Gathering = making covenants with God:  “Once you and I have made a covenant with God, our relationship with Him becomes much closer than before our covenant. Now we are bound together,”…….“Because of our covenant with God, He will never tire in His efforts to help us, and we will never exhaust His merciful patience with us. Each of us has a special place in God’s heart. He has high hopes for us.”
  • Call to Youth: “My dear extraordinary youth, you were sent to earth at this precise time, the most crucial time in the history of the world, to help gather Israel. There is nothing happening on this earth right now that is more important”.

Invitation:  “Come join us in gathering Israel!”  We invite each family in the ward to set goals for 2026 in the following areas: 1) intentionally study the gathering of Israel seeking to more fully experience the spirit of this great work!; 2) consider who you could invite to join us in our next ward activity; 3) consider who you could invite to worship with you at the temple

“Will you not now return unto me…that I may heal you? Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me!” (3 Nephi 9:13-14)
